Blink Astro™ adds Jim Rowland as VP of Corporate Development

Atlanta, August 29, 2016. Blink Astro, LLC (Blink™) announced today that Jim Rowland has joined the firm as Vice President of Corporate Development. Mr. Rowland has over 35 years of leadership experience in program management and business development in the aerospace industry.
“We are very pleased to have someone of Jim’s caliber join our growing team,” said Dr. John Olds, Blink’s CEO. “As VP of Corporate Development, Jim will spearhead our data sales activities, as well as lead our efforts to develop strategic partnerships in our highest-priority sectors for small satellite-based IoT. Jim’s positive reputation in the space industry and his extensive experience are significant assets to our overall team.”
Prior to joining Blink Astro, Mr. Rowland led the ViaSat Antenna Systems business development and program management of their ground infrastructure customer support and services programs. Earlier in his career Mr. Rowland held leadership positions at NSI-MI Technologies, Ultra Electronics and BAE SYSTEMS.
Mr. Rowland holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and resides in Atlanta with his wife and family.
