Atlanta, August 5, 2016. Blink Astro, LLC (Blink) successfully completed a series of field tests of its proprietary technologies for ground to satellite communications on July 22nd in Cartersville, GA. The tests involved both ground and flight elements of Blink’s short burst data (SBD) communications network.
Blink™ partnered with Phoenix Air UNMANNED and used a remotely operated helicopter to assist in the tests. The tests resulted in successful completion of several of Blink’s key developmental milestones for its unique BlinkR™ ground terminals.
Blink™ is working to create an affordable global M2M satellite based Internet-of-Things (IoT) solution and expects to conduct pilot demonstrations with selected partners in the near future.
