Atlanta, GA: January 16, 2017.
Blink Astro (“Blink”) has moved into new temporary space in the Crown Pointe complex in north Atlanta to be close to parent company SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. The move provides Blink with additional office space and workshop space while more permanent facilities are being constructed.
Since its founding in 2015, Blink Astro has been focused on providing an affordable global short-burst data network for the Internet of Things (IoT) using a network of low cost CubeSats (BlinkSats) operating in Low Earth Orbit. Blink’s line of ground transmitters are called BlinkRs, and initial units are currently being field-tested. Potential applications include precision agriculture, oil & gas, and shipping. The company has collaborative working relationships with both the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Georgia.
