Computer Engineer/Embedded Systems Engineer

Position Summary:

The Computer Engineer/Embedded Systems Engineer will work with a small team of engineers in our Atlanta, GA office to help design, prototype, and deploy a variety of spacecraft, CubeSats, SatCom ground terminals, hypersonic flight systems, and reentry devices. We are seeking an early to mid-career engineer with experience in spacecraft electronics, embedded systems, microcontrollers, actuators and controls, and printed circuit board design. Past and relevant hands-on experience with both electronic systems design and prototyping (small unit production) is a must. Actual hands-on flight experience with small satellites is preferred.

This position is required to be a hybrid of a traditional Electrical Engineer and a Computer Scientist, with the ability to design and build spaceflight avionics and controllers in a rapid prototyping environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of microcontrollers, be capable of developing their embedded software using C/C++, and have a solid understanding of spaceflight hardware development and test practices.

Experienced CubeSat Developer

Position Summary:

Blink Astro (Blink) is seeking an experienced CubeSat developer with prior experience with a successful spaceflight program or mission. This engineer will work with a motivated small team of other engineers, technical managers, and partners to develop, build, launch, and operate the company’s first BlinkSat, a small spacecraft based on a CubeSat form factor. The ideal candidate will have past experience with small spacecraft development, preferably as part of a successful spaceflight team in industry, government, or academia. No entry level candidates please.

The candidate should have a broad knowledge of small satellite (CubeSat) subsystems, their integration, testing requirements, and flight operations. Skills in RF communications, deployable systems, and software defined radios are highly desirable.
